A very successful competition model designed by Rune "Bananen" Andersson, a profilic member of the Stockholm model flying club "Vingarna". He built it during the summer of 1944, and before it finally flew away at the Nordic championships two years later, he managed to win about 15 different competitions with it. Balder was not an extreme still air duration model, the secret behind its success was its reliability on the tow-line.
