Albatross På svenska In English

Description

The Hungarian Endre Vörös placed 2:nd at the world champs 1967 with this design. The wing profile is a combination of three of the best glider profiles, the stabilizer has a flat bottomed profile aprox. 70% Clark-Y. The upper frontal part of the wing is covered with 0.8 mm balsa with no extra turbulators. The center of gravity is placed relatively far art for best glide performance. The reason for the high fin is that the designer wanted to prevent "shadowing" of the fin when thermaling.
Vörös model was considered one of the best built A2:s in the competition.
