During the late 1930:s, model flying was growing rapidly, and many newspapers and weekly magazines suported the new hobby. The Danish family weekly "Illustreret Familie Journal" was one of them, and they let the well known model flyer Sven-Wiel Bang design a couple of models which they published. A kit was made available by Svend Greig's company "Dansk Modelflyveindustri", and more than 10000 were produced.
In Sweden the same design was featured in the magazine Allers, but then it was renamed "Allers-1".
